Star Wars Reconstruction Timeline

I saw Star Wars in the cinema when it was first released in the UK and I'm a fan of the Original Trilogy. It was an important part of my childhood and had a significant - and lasting - cultural impact on me. Star Wars since The Phantom Menace - and particularly since Disney's corporate aquistion of the franchise - has only intermittantly shown flashes of the earnest, swashbuckling "classic" saga.

So, I've started regarding Star Wars as a shattered timeline where the narrative is broken. Different, competing versions of the Skywalker narrative exist simultaneously and it's up to the fan to (re)construct a timeline that appeals to them best. This is my attempt to create a personal, reconstructed timeline that (re)captures the spirit of the original trilogy.

It's very much a work in progress.

I'm looking to include in the timeline: The Paradise Snare (1997, novel), The Hutt Gambit (1997, novel), Rebel Dawn (novel), The Force Unleashed (2008, game/novel/comic), The Force Unleased II (2010, game/novel/comic), The Truce at Bakura (1993, novel), Luke Skywalker and the Shadows of Mindor (2008, novel), The Courtship of Princess Leia (1994, novel), Tatooine Ghost (2003, novel), The Black Fleet Crisis (1996, novels), The Corellioan Trilogy (1995, novels), Specter of the Past (1997, novel), Visions of the Future (1998, novel), Andor (2024, tv series).

The versions of Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi in this timeline are the original theatrical releases and not the special editions.

Generally, I regard Star Wars as the adventures of Luke Skywalker and the further from Skywalker that the saga strays, the less it seems to evoke the sprit of the Original Trilogy.
